The humans who bit the snakes

You may have heard may stories of snakes biting humans. It’s a common thing that snakes bite people due to various situations such as stepping on a snake accidentally or when a snake feels threatens. Mostly these attacks happen as self defense. But have you heard of any occasions where humans bit the snake back as revenge? Today we present you few such incidents from the past years.

August 2012

Nepali man bites the cobra as revenge for attacking him.

A Nepali man who was bitten by a cobra bit the cobra back to death as a revenge. After being bitten by the cobra in the paddy field, 55-year-old Mohamed Salmo Miya chased the snake, caught it and bit it until its dead. The man however is alive. “I could have killed it with a stick but bit it with my teeth instead because I was angry,” says Miya.

The snake is dead and the man is alive.


2019 July

Indian man bites snake in revenge.

An Indian revenged on a snake that bit him by killing it. The killing method is however biting the snake in to pieces. The man is alive and the snake is dead.

The man was enjoying an alcoholic beverage at his home in Uttar Pradesh India. At this time a snake slithered inside and bit him.

“A snake bit him. So as a return he bit and chewed it in to pieces”. Said his father Babu Ram.

The mans family took him to the hospital with the chewed pieces of the snake. For a doctor a patient with a snake bite is a common scenario but a patient who bit a snake in to pieces? That’s something unusual and bizarre. According to the doctors at the hospital it was a weird experience.

The snake was identified as a rat snake which is usually non venomous.

“My son was drunk … he bit the snake and crunched it into pieces,” Mr Ram, his father told Indian media.


2019 July

60 year old man bites a snake which attacked him.

A 60 year old man from Gujarat’s Mahisagar died in a snake bite. But not before biting the snake back in revenge and killing it.The incident happened at the Ajanwa village in Santrampur tehsil.

“Parvat Gala Baria was standing near a spot where maize was being loaded from a field onto a truck. A snake slithered out and while others there ran away, he continued to stand claiming he had caught snakes earlier,” the village head said.

He was taken to a hospital in Lunawada town and later transferred to a bigger facility in Godhra. But at the end of the day he died because of the venom from the snake bite. The man is dead and the snake is dead.
