Sony unveils an electric car
Under its Vision S initiative, Sony cooperation unveiled their electric car on Monday.
The car equipped with autonomous driving was introduced by Sony CEO and president Kenichiro Yoshida at at a media preview of Consumer Electronics tradeshow in Las Vegas.
The vehicle has about 30 sensors in and out for object detection. However this version of the electric car does not seem to be fully autonomous like Tesla cars. It has some features such as auto parking and summoning as well as the auxiliary braking . But according to Sony , with the future software updates it may be possible to drive auto pilot. The car also features a 3d high quality sound system for a greater experience.
Sony plans to test the car on the roads by March 2021. However currently they don’t have plans for a mass production of a commercial level.
